Pokémon Go players complain about a baseless ban on the Niantic app and suspect a problem with their Xiaomi smartphone.

Many people still play Pokémon Go today , although the app is not as visible as it was in 2016. We've known for a long time that the Niantic teams developing the app are cheating against various forms. However, it was not known that a Xiaomi smartphone could be considered a prohibited behavior.

However, many Reddit users have complained about the temporary closure of their account and claimed to have done nothing wrong with Pokémon Go . It quickly became clear to players complaining about the social network that this phenomenon was affecting some Xiaomi smartphones.

I had two warnings in September, one after the other, for no particular reason. I see no other explanation but a technical problem with the Pokemon Go game on the Xiaomi Redmi 5 phone. Niantic Support repeatedly reiterates that there should be no cause for concern as long as I respect the Terms of Use, but I am about to be banned for nothing.

Pokémon Go and MIUI

Other smartphones like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 or the Redmi Note 5 seem to be affected by this problem . It appears that Pokémon Go has problems with an object or application of the MIUI system and interprets this as a cheat tool.

Currently, Niantic and the Pokémon Go teams have not yet officially responded.
